FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What quality should I use for JPG compression?
A setting around 75–85 is a practical starting point for photographs. Inspect the result and lower it only when a smaller file matters more than fine detail.
Does this upload my photos?
No. The implemented JPEG workflow runs locally in your browser and does not upload image files to ImagesCompressor.
Why can a JPEG become larger?
A source may already be highly compressed. Higher quality, larger dimensions, or different encoder decisions can create a larger result.
