FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded?

No. Image bytes are decoded and encoded locally. Optional self-hosted AVIF codec files may be downloaded, but your selected image is not sent with that request.

Which image formats are supported?

Verified inputs are JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, and BMP. Outputs are JPEG, PNG, capability-checked WebP, and AVIF where the on-demand codec can run.

Can I process several images at once?

Yes. Add up to 50 images, select a conservative concurrency level, process the batch, and download results individually or as a ZIP.

Does compression always make a file smaller?

No. Already optimized files, lossless PNG output, or high quality settings can produce a similar or larger result. The queue shows the exact size change.

What happens to image metadata?

Processed outputs are created from decoded pixels. Source EXIF and other metadata are not copied into the new files.
